Dr. Zaib Jahan, a Pakistani National, is fluent in both English and Urdu. She is serving as a Research Associate Professor at PMU, KSA.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UET Lahore, Pakistan in 2011, followed by a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from NUST, Pakistan in 2014, and pursued her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway in 2018 with specialization in Membrane Technology.
Dr. Jahan has six years of teaching experience and has expertise in courses such as Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Separation Processes in Chemical Engineering, Maintenance and Process Safety, Membrane Technology and Carbon Capture and Utilization.
Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering an inclusive, dynamic learning environment that equips students to become ethical engineers, creative problem solvers, and critical thinkers. Utilizing diverse teaching methods, including lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on labs, she strives to meet varied learning preferences while promoting teamwork and critical analysis through group projects and case studies.
Dr. Jahan was honored with the Best Researcher Award for 2023, presented by the Research and Innovation Center, NUST. She has successfully led 7 funded research projects, published over 75 research articles, and filed one intellectual property. Her work has garnered more than 4000 citations, reflecting an impressive h-index of 33. Dr. Jahan's exceptional contributions to her field earned her a place among the Top 2% Scientists of the World for both 2023, 2024 and 2025.
She aspires to advance cutting-edge research in membrane technology and materials engineering at PMU, addressing critical global challenges in energy, environment, and healthcare. Her vision includes contributing to PMU's growth by driving impactful projects, fostering international collaborations, and strengthening industry- academia partnerships.

Dr. Zaib Jahan hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, with a research specialization in mimic enzyme-based polymeric membranes and the application of advanced materials. Her research is primarily focuses on membrane applications for gas separations, water purification, and biomedical fields such as hemodialysis, controlled drug delivery, and hydrogels for wound healing.
