Dr. Gayda AlZohbi is currently an assistant professor in the department of mechanical engineering at Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd University in Al Kho bar, KSA. She holds a PhD degree in Engineering Sciences and Technology from the Brussels school of Engineering, Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. She worked as a lecturer from 2012 to 2015 at the Brussels school of Engineering, Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. In 2015, she joined the department of Aero-Thermo-mechanics of Brussels of Engineering in 2015 as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research interests include energy storage (pumped hydro storage system and compressed air energy storage), building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), energy efficiency and retrofit of building. In 2017, she worked as a research member in the International Energy Agency (IEA), PVPS Task 15-subtask B on the identification, benchmarking and development of business models of BIPV products in different regions and countries. She served as a technical committe member for several international conferences, and as a reviewer for many international journals.
