Dr. Wael Hadid serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Hadid holds a BSc in Accounting from Damascus University, an MSc in Finance and Accounting, and a PhD from Brunel University of London. He was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize for Doctoral Research for his PhD thesis, which examined the interface between lean systems and costing practices. In addition, Dr. Hadid holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from the University of Sheffield and is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

Dr. Hadid has extensive experience in teaching, research, supervision, and curriculum development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has successfully supervised over 100 MSc dissertations and several PhD research projects. Prior to joining PMU, Dr. Hadid taught at several universities, including Brunel University of London, the University of Sheffield, Buckinghamshire New University, Damascus University, and Laureate International Universities/University of Liverpool’s online program. Across these institutions, he delivered modules in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Quantitative Methods.

Dr. Hadid’s research focuses on management accounting and its intersections with operations management, supply chain management, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including Management Accounting Research, British Accounting Review, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning and Control, and Business Strategy and the Environment. He is also a regular reviewer for several academic journals in accounting and operations management and serves on the editorial board of Advances in Management Accounting.

Through his teaching, supervision, and research, Dr. Hadid is committed to preparing a new generation of accountants and business leaders who will play a key role in shaping the future of organizations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
