Dr. Nawel Ben Sassi is an Assistant Professor of Private Law and Associate Chair of the College of Law at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University. She holds a PhD in Civil Law and a Master’s degree in Business Law, and has extensive academic and professional experience in both legal education and legal practice.
Before joining PMU, she taught law in Tunisia and practiced as a lawyer, gaining experience in legal consultancy, contract drafting, negotiation, pleadings, and litigation. Her research interests include civil law, the law of obligations and contracts, Saudi civil and personal status law, and emerging legal challenges associated with artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
Her publications address topics including contractual equilibrium, moral damages, family law, AI in judicial decision-making, and AI-assisted legal drafting. Her teaching approach combines strong theoretical foundations with practical legal skills, with a focus on preparing students for contemporary legal practice.
