Dr. Muhammad Rafiq is an experienced academic and researcher with over 20 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions across Saudi Arabia, the UK, and Pakistan. Since 2011, he has served as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Information Systems at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), KSA. Prior to this, he taught in various part-time and fulltime capacities at institutions such as the London College of Research (UK), Preston University, and several other universities in Pakistan.Dr. Rafiq recently completed his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Technology Malaysia (2024), adding to his strong academic portfolio, which includes Master’s in Project Management from the University of Hertfordshire (UK), and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Peshawar (Pakistan). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and the ABDC, covering a diverse range of topics, including cloud computing, migration studies, project assessment, happiness index studies, e-commerce, and financial performance. His scholarly contributions include over 25 publications in reputable journals such as Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy, Social Sciences, Industrial Engineering & Management Systems, and Results in Control and Optimisation. He has also participated in several international conferences and has served as a reviewer for journals like the Journal of Happiness Studies and Palatana Journal. Dr. Rafiq’s innovative approach to teaching includes the integration of flipped classrooms and Jigsaw methods, and he has actively contributed to PMU’s academic committees, including curriculum development, learning resources, and teaching effectiveness. His dedication to pedagogy is further demonstrated through certifications in blended learning, cloud computing, and leadership. He has also engaged in community development, serving as President of the “Dammam Pukhto Adabi Baher,” which promotes Pashto literature in the Gulf region. He has published four books in Pashto, including poetry and essays.
