Dr. Ishraat Saira Wahid is a British national working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Business at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, KSA.
She received her B.A. degree in Economics from Winona State University, USA in 1995, M.S. degree in Business Administration from La Salle University, USA in 1997, M.Sc. degree in Human Resource Management and Development from Liverpool Hope University, UK in 2015, Ph.D. from University of Bolton, UK in 2019, and is currently pursuing her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCert) from Middlesex University, UK.
Dr. Wahid has over 24 years of work experience in the banking sector, non-government organization (NGO), and foreign and commonwealth office (FCO) in the UK, USA, and Bangladesh. She has moved to academia upon completion of her PhD in 2019. Having finally been able to realize her lifelong passion, she had been teaching as an Assistant Professor in the School of Business at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) prior to joining PMU. In addition to conducting core courses on Human Resource Management and Business Management, she has been regularly involved in developing modern course modules, and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate internships and dissertations.
Her research interests include International HRM, Strategic HRM, Cross-Cultural Management, Green Business and Microcredit. In addition to publishing 10 of her research papers in Scopus indexed academic journals, she is a recipient of Best Paper Award twice at the International Conference of the Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA).
Dr Wahid hopes to bring in innovative and professional approaches to HRM field at PMU to induce better learning and foster Human Resource Managers of the future.
