Dr. Imtiaz is an expert in pyrolysis, having made substantial contributions to the field through his comprehensive studies on the kinetics and thermodynamics of diverse materials, including high-ash sewage sludge, coconut shell waste, rice husk, sugarcane bagasse, Red Sea seaweed, dried oily sludge, and lignocellulosic biomass. By leveraging cutting-edge techniques such as thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and artificial neural networks, he has successfully analyzed the thermal behavior, kinetics, and thermodynamic parameters of pyrolysis processes.
Dr. Imtiaz has explored pyrolysis as a sustainable method for energy production from solid waste and biomass. His research has delved into the synergistic effects of co-pyrolysis processes, examining the combined pyrolysis of different materials to optimize the recovery of organic materials. Furthermore, he has significantly advanced the understanding of reaction mechanisms and activation energies in pyrolysis processes, employing both model-free and model-fitting methods for in-depth analysis. Additionally, his work has evaluated the properties and performance of blended membranes for various applications, including desalination and water treatment. Dr. Imtiaz's research has been published in esteemed journals, substantially enriching the scientific literature in the field of pyrolysis and related topics.
