Dr. Hassana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Business Administration, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU). She holds a PhD in Operational Research and an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management both from the University of Portsmouth, UK, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. She is also a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA), demonstrating her commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and academic leadership.

With over 13 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Hassana has taught and led modules across undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA programmes, including Supply Chain Analytics, Contemporary Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Global Logistics. Her teaching philosophy emphasises inclusivity, collaborative learning, and experiential education, integrating real-world scenarios, simulations, and reflective activities to foster critical thinking and engagement among diverse learners.

Her research interests lie in optimisation modelling, simulation, and machine learning applications in supply chain management, logistics, healthcare operations, decision support systems and the application of AI and data analytics to improve supply chain and public service efficiency. Her publications include papers in high-impact journals, such as the European Journal of Operational Research, and she has received Best Paper Awards and multiple SEIO Best Paper nominations (2023, 2024, 2025).

Aligned with PMU’s vision and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Dr. Hassana aims to advance excellence in teaching, applied research, and innovation in smart logistics and green infrastructure priorities, potentially integrating local data and collaborating with regional policy makers.
