Dr. Abdulrahman F. Alshehri is a Saudi faculty member, who has joined the department in Augst 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance at PMU, KSA.

He received his B.B.A Business Administration degree from King Khalid University in Abha, KSA, in 1986. Further on, in 1995, he attained an MSc. degree in Business Administration from King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, KSA. He continued his postgraduate education at the University of Bristol, UK, and in 2005 obtained his Ph.D. in Financial Management.

Dr. Alshehri has decades of experience within the academic field. He maintained various positions in teaching, research, and curriculum development at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Abdulrahman taught most of the Finance courses at King Khalid University and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He holds the "Learning and Teaching in Higher Education" certificate from King's College, University of London, UK. In addition to the "Leading Academic Development" Certificate from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr. Alshehri’s teaching philosophy is to ‘facilitate the learning process in a healthy and productive environment, and to equip the students with the skills needed to understand and critically appraise the knowledge’. 

His work was published in the Research in International Business & Finance, Journal of Banking Regulation, Review of Quantitative Finance & Accounting, Health Education Journal, and Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance. He participated and presented his work in several referred academic conferences such as the (IFABS 2018), Santiago, Chile; (WFC 2015), Buenos Aires, Argentina; (FMAI 2013), Chicago, USA, and the (EFMA 2013), Reading, UK. In addition, Dr. Alshehri worked as a referee for several international journals and has been a member of various academic and professional societies.
