Dr. Muhammad Sharif Abbasi is a Pakistani national, working as a Assistant Professor in the department of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the College of Business Administration at PMU, KSA. He received his BS degree in Computer Sciences, from University of Sindh, Pakistan in 2002, and PhD in MIS from Brunel Business School, London, UK in 2011. Dr. Abbasi has more than 18 years of experience in teaching, research and curriculum development at Postgraduate, Graduate, and Undergraduate levels.

Statistical software: 6 years’ experience with Excel, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science), AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) and SmartPLS.

Statistical techniques: Univariate/multivariate methods (ANOVA, regression, structural equation modeling and Confirmatory Factor Analysis), categorical analysis, descriptive statistics, principal component/factor analysis, graphical reporting, confidence intervals/effect sizes, identifying and accounting for missing data, etc.

Quantitative Methods: Experienced and proficient in survey design, survey administration (online and in-person), experimental design, and the analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal quantitative data.

Dr. Sharif Abbasi's research interests include IT-Business Strategic Alignment, Knowledge Management, ICT in information systems (Technology acceptance and adoption), cross-cultural issues in IT (at individual and national culture, cross-cultural studies), and Quantitative Methods (Psychometrics; Instrument development and validation; Cross-cultural measurement; Issues in survey development and administration; structural equation modeling).

Dr. Abbasi has number of publications in refereed journals and international conference proceedings. Under his supervision 2 PhD and 15 MPhil students completed their degrees. Dr. Abbasi hopes to contribute to preparing an outstanding career of Business School students.
