Dr. Mariam is a Kuwaiti national, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at PMU, KSA. She received her B.E. degree from Kuwait University in Kuwait, in 2005, M.Sc. in Risk Management degree from Brunel University, London, UK, in 2011, and her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, in 2015.
Dr. Mariam has several years of experience in teaching, research and curriculum development at graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Mariam taught many courses in Plymouth University in UK, Public Authority of training and training PAAET in Kuwait, American International University in Kuwait and Arab open University in Kuwait. She taught Introduction to Finance, International Finance, Financial management, Investment, Insurance, Spss for Finance, and Shaping business level 1 and level 2.
Her research interests include Risk management, Fintech, corporate governance, and international Finance. Dr. Mariam has published a paper in stock market in GCC. Dr. Mariam has engaged with industry by delivering several talks and training courses for banking and investor sector. Dr. Mariam hopes to contribute to preparing an outstanding generation of knowledge area such as: Fintech, Blockchain, crypto and Bitcoin that will help shape the future of Finance in KSA and the region.
