Completed undergraduate and graduate studies with summa cum laude in the USA. Earned the Ph.D. degree in Economics with distinction from the Graduate Faculty of New School for Social Research in New York City, USA in 1983. Started teaching initially as a TA and adjunct instructor at various colleges in New York and New Jersey, USA and later as a full time tenure track economics faculty at the City University of New York.
Left academia for business, where he worked in the banking and finance industry for over twenty five years at top managerial levels in Europe, and at the same time continued teaching economics and finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Served as a director for a number of different companies in the banking/finance sector and was also managing director for a major brokerage firm and an international capital markets firm.
Took a leave from industry and resumed full time teaching at PMU in 2012, where he is now teaching various economics and finance courses at undergraduate level and in the EMBA program as well.
