Christopher received his Ph.D. and M.S. Degrees in Management from MIT Sloan, during which he obtained his doctoral education in strategy at Harvard Business School. He has an M.Sc. degree from University of London and his B.Sc. (First Class Honors) degree from Nottingham Trent University. He is Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He was Associate Professor in Strategy at Henley Business School, University of Reading, where he was Program Area Director (Business and Management).

His earlier academic career included faculty appointments in leading European business schools, and research positions at UCL and at MIT Sloan. In his business career, Christopher spent several years working on corporate strategy formulation and implementation in the Corporate Strategies Office at the global headquarters of Fujitsu in Tokyo. Prior to this, he established and managed a European business unit within the Japanese investment bank Nomura International, and was part of a team that established a new European business unit for Salomon Brothers (Citigroup). He is Adjunct Senior Teaching Fellow at UCL School of Management and Managing Director of corporate advisory firm Voisey Associates.

Christopher is experienced in curriculum design in university business schools and in facilitating and teaching on in-company executive development programs. His scholarly work on how firms formulate and implement their global strategies has been published in the global strategy field’s leading academic journal.
