Dr. Ameen Alhassan was born in Saudi Arabia. He is working as an assistant professor in the department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at PMU, KSA.
He received his B.S. degree in mathematics from King Faisal University, KSA, in 2006, M.S.
degree in Applied-Industrial Mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio, USA, in 2013, and his Ph.D. in mathematics from Texas Tech University, USA, in 2018.
Dr. Ameen has several years of successful teaching experience at university’s level working in two different countries with diverse faculties and students. He was working as a graduate part-time instructor for two years and as a lecturer for one year at Texas Tech University. In 2019-2021, he was an assistant professor at Alasala Colleges for two years. Dr. Ameen has taught different courses in mathematics including Numerical Methods and Programming (Matlab), Linear Algebra, Calculus I, II, III, Mathematics for Management, Finite Mathematics, Statistical Methods, Business Statistics, and Business Calculus.
His research interests include continuum theory with its relations to geometric topology and topological dynamics, algebraic topology, fixed point property, and knot theory.
Dr. Ameen hopes to contribute to preparing an outstanding generation of students who will be able to contribute achieving the Saudi vision 2030. In addition, one of his goal is to contribute to establishing a strong communication between the academic and private sector to exchange ideas.
